한국 이명박대통령과 인도네시아 유도요노 대통령 정상회담.기자회견 내용

인도네시아를 국빈방문 중인 이명박 대통령은 6일 수도 자카르타 대통령궁에서 수실로 밤방 유도요노 대통령과 정상회담을 갖고 양국간 협력증진 방안을 논의했다.

   지난해 11월 페루 APEC(아태경제협력체) 정상회의 참석차 남미를 방문하던 중 브라질리아에서 같은 숙소에 묵은 인연으로 예정에 없던 `깜짝 회동'을 가졌던 두 정상은 이날 회담에서 신뢰와 우의를 재확인하며 경제, 문화, 자원.에너지 등 다양한 분야에서 긴밀한 협력을 약속했다.
특히 두 정상은 이례적으로 부인들과 함께 별도의 환담시간을 가졌으며, 유도요노 대통령 부인 크리스티아니 헤라와티 여사는 어린시절 초대 주한 인도네시아 대사였던 부친을 따라 한국에서 생활했던 경험을 소개하며 유창한 한국말 실력을 자랑하기도 했다.

   유도요노 대통령도 이 자리에서 지난 2005년 부산에서 개최된 APEC 정상회의 참석 당시를 소회하며 "한국음식이 아주 맛있었고 내 입맛에도 맞았다"면서 "한국음식이 그립다"고 말하는 등 시종 화기애애한 분위기가 연출됐다고 참석자들은 전했다.

   다음은 이 대통령과 유도요노 대통령의 기자회견 모두발언과 일문일답 요지.

   ◇모두발언
▲이 대통령 = 세계 경제위기를 맞아 주춤할 수 있으나 양국관계는 급신장할 수 있다. 진정한 친구는 어려울 때 서로 도와야 한다고 생각한다.

   ▲유도요노 대통령 = 금융위기로 많은 것이 침체됐으나 인도네시아와 한국은 협력관계를 강화시키고 우정을 더욱 발전시키기로 했다.

   ◇일문일답
--최근 경제위기를 맞은 한국내 인도네시아 근로자 문제 해결방안은.

   ▲(유도요노 대통령) 오늘 정상회담에서도 이 문제를 논의했다. 실직자가 될 수 밖에 없는 인도네시아 근로자를 위해 충분한 시간을 달라는 말씀을 이 대통령에게 드리고 싶다.

   ▲(이 대통령) 이런 세계적 경제위기에서 가장 걱정되는 것은 근로자들이 일자리를 잃게 된다는 것이다. 유도요노 대통령께서 깊은 관심을 보이고 있고 양국이 긍정적인 대책을 생각하고 있어 좋은 영향을 줄 것으로 믿는다.

   --남북관계가 어떻게 진행되고 있나.

   ▲(이 대통령) 남북이 분단된지 60년인데 올들어 매우 힘들다. 우리는 항상 인도적 지원과 대화창구를 열어놓고 있다. 북한 미사일 문제에 있어서 국제적 관심이 커지고 있고 북한의 긍정적 반응을 기대하고 있으며, 6자회담을 통한 긍정적인 협력이 있기를 기대한다.

*President receives South Korean counterpart

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono received visiting South Korean President Lee Myung-bak at the state palace in Jakarta on Friday, Antara state news agency reported.

The South Koran president and the country`s First Lady Kim Yoon-ok arrived at Merdeka Palace at 3 on Friday afternoon and were greeted by the Indonesian head of state and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono.

President Yudhoyono and President Lee would hold talks which were followed by a bilateral meeting between the delegations from the two countries in which a memorandum of understanding would be signed.

Then at 7:30 in the evening, President Yudhoyono would host a state banquet at the palace.

President Lee and his entourage from South Korea arrived here on Friday for a three-day visit until Sunday, March 8, 2009.

During the visit, the South Korean president would hold a series of meeting with Chief Executive Officer of the country`s companies which have been investing in Indonesia.

On Saturday, President Lee is scheduled to visit Kalibata Heroes Cemetery in East Jakarta, and them to meet with House of

Representatives Speaker Agung Laksono, Vice President Jusuf Kalla, and South Korean community in Indonesia.
