터키 무장헬기, 쿠르드 반군 기지 폭격 (E)

터키 전투기와 무장 헬리콥터들이 26일, 북부 이라크의 쿠르드 반군 기지들을 폭격했습니다.

터키 관영 아나톨리아통신은 이날, 터키 전투기들이 정찰기들이 찾아낸 반군 진지들에 대해 공습을 단행했다고 보도했습니다.

터키는 터키에 대한 쿠르드 반군들의 공격을 강화하는 쿠르디스탄 노동당 반군들에 대해 월경군사작전을 개시할 것이라고 위협하고 있습니다.

한편,  터키 수도 앙카라에서 이라크 국방장관을 비롯한  대표단이 터키 관계자들과 점증하는 국경위기에 관해 회담을 가졌습니다. 이라크 국방부 대변인은 1차 회담 결과가 긍정적이라고 말했습니다.

Turkish warplanes and helicopters struck Kurdish rebel positions in northern Iraq as diplomatic efforts began today (Friday) to defuse tensions about separatist bases in the region.

Turkey's state-run Anatolia news agency reports that Turkish aircraft attacked suspected rebel positions detected during reconnaissance missions.

Turkey has been threatening to launch cross-border military operations against rebels of the Kurdistan Workers' Party, or PKK, who have intensified attacks inside Turkey.

In Ankara, Iraq's defense minister and other members of an Iraqi delegation held talks with senior Turkish officials about the growing crisis along their common border. An Iraqi Defense Ministry spokesman says the initial results of the meetings were positive.

Turkey's Deputy Prime Minister Cecil Cicek says Turkey gave Iraqi officials a list of PKK leaders and demanded they be handed over.(미국의 소리 2007.10.26)
