‘러시아 소트니코바, 피겨 금메달’

 

러시아 국가대표 피겨스케이팅 선수 소트니코바(18)가 ‘석연치 않은’ 판정으로 금메달을 목에 걸었다.

소트니코바는 21일(한국시각) 러시아 소치 아이스버그 스케이팅 팰리스에서 열린 피겨스케이팅 여자 싱글 프리스케이팅에서 점프 실수가 있었음에도 무려 149.95점을 받아 총점 224.59점으로 금메달을 획득했다.

반면 김연아는 7개의 점프와 스핀, 스텝 등 모든 요소를 완벽하게 수행했지만 프리에서 144.19점을 받아 총 219.11점으로 은메달에 땄다.

‘러시아’ 소트니코바는 경기 직후 가진 인터뷰에서 “내 생애 가장 행복한 날이다”며 기쁨을 감추지 못했다.

이어 석연치 않은 판정에 관한 질문이 쏟아지자 “심판 판정은 심판의 몫이다. 내가 심판들에게 강요한 것은 없다”면서 “판정과 관련한 질문은 그만 받고 싶다. 나는 내 경기를 펼쳤을 뿐이다”고 답했다.

Visit to figure skating competition

Vladimir Putin visited the Iceberg Skating Palace, where he watched the team figure skating competition.

The Russian leader spoke with the International Skating Union President Ottavio Cinquanta before taking a place in the stands and watching the competition.

After the event, Mr Putin personally congratulated the Russian figure skaters, who won the event and earned Russia’s first gold medal at the Sochi Olympics. In addition to his personal congratulations, the President also sent messages of congratulations to all members of the Russian figure skating team.
