UN Int'l School parade marks UN Day in New York

 

Students from over 100 countries are led by their teacher during a parade in the United Nations International School to mark the United Nations Day in New York, the United States, on Oct. 23, 2009. on Oct. 24, 1945, the United Nations Charter came into effect, marking the formal establishment of the world organization. Two years later, the General Assembly adopted a resolution, declaring the date as "the UN Day".
