반기문 유엔사무총장 "이스라엘, 팔레스타인, 시리아등 중동방문"

유엔 안전보장이사회는 21일 가자 지구에서 무기 밀매 방지와 국경 개방을 보장하는 영구적 휴전을 촉구했다 영국과 프랑스가 작성하고 15개 회원국들이 동의한 성명서에서 안보리는 이스라엘의 공세가 시작된지 22일만인 지난 18일 이뤄진 이스라엘과 하마스 무장세력의 휴전을 반겼다.
 안보리는 1천300여명이 사망하고 수많은 빌딩과 마을이 파괴된 가자 지구의 인도적인 상황에 대해 우려를 표시하고 긴급 구호품 이송이 방해없이 순조롭게 이뤄져야 한다고 지적했다.

 안보리는 이어 지난 8일 총회가 채택한 구속력 있는 결의안의 완전 이행 필요성을 강조하고 결의안의 이행을 뒷받침하려는 반기문 유엔 총장의 노력에 감사를 표시했다.

 안보리는 성명에서 팔레스타인 내부의 화해를 위한 실질적인 절차이행과 이스라엘과 팔레스타인간의 분쟁을 끝내려는 노력을 강화하는 한편 독립적인 팔레스타인 국가를 건립해 이스라엘과 평화롭게 공존해야 한다고 촉구했다.
