후쿠다총리. 푸틴대통령 일러정상 "영토문제에 대해 대화를 계속 갖기로"

모스크바를 방문중인 후쿠다 일본 수상은 어젯밤 러시아의 푸틴 대통령, 메드베데프 차기대통령과 회담했습니다.

경제분야에서는 유전의 공동개발 등 구체적인 진전이 있었지만 북방영토문제에서는 이번에도 대화를 계속하기로 확인하는데 그쳤습니다.

후쿠다 수상은 어젯밤 푸틴 대통령, 메드베데프 차기 대통령과 함께 3시간에 걸쳐 회담했습니다.
회담에서 푸틴 대통령은 러시아는 평화조약에 대해서도 대화를 계속할 방침이며 대화 진전을 위해 필요한 조건을 만들고 있다고 말했습니다.

이에 대해 후쿠다 수상은 아시아 태평양지역에서 일러의 연대를 강화하겠다고 밝히고 회담에서 경제협력에 대해서는 합병회사를 만들어 시베리아에서 유전공동개발에 나서기로 하는 등 구체적인 진전이 있었습니다.

그러나 북방영토문제에 대해서는 계속 대화를 갖기로 합의했지만 이번에도 구체적인 진전은 없었습니다.

일러간의 경제협력은 에너지와 정보통신 등 폭 넓은 분야에서 확대돼 양국의 무역액은 최근 5년 동안 네 배나 증가했습니다. 일본정부는 경제협력을 강화하는 과정에서 영토문제에서도 러시아측이 유연한 입장을 보이게 될 것으로 기대하고 있습니다.

During the discussion the President of Russia and Prime Minister of Japan agreed on the priority areas for the future development of cooperation between their two countries. They include the oil and gas sector, transportation, and nuclear energy.

In addition, the Russian party welcomed further cooperation with regards to the participation of Japanese companies in the development of Siberia and the Far East.

Vladimir Putin and Yasuo Fukuda expressed their desire to simplify the visa regime between their countries. The parties agreed to intensify mutual contacts in international affairs and to continue to actively develop exchanges between youth and academics from both countries. In connection with this they stressed the need to make progress in simplifying the procedures governing travel between their countries.

Both parties emphasized the need to continue work on a peace treaty. However, they did not discuss territorial issues in detail.
