NATO '탈레반 군사지도자 물라 다둘라 살해' (Eng)

북대서양조약기구 나토와 아프가니스탄 관계관들은 탈레반 최고위 군사지도자인 물라 다둘라가 아프간 남부에서 아프간 군 정부군과 나토군과의 교전 중에 살해됐다고 밝혔습니다.

나토 관계관들은 성명을 통해, 다둘라의 사망은 탈레반 저항세력에 대한 중대한 타격이 될 것이라고 밝혔습니다.

아프간 정보 관리는 13일 물라 다둘라가 12일 헬만드 주에서 사살됐고, 그의 시신은 인접한 칸다하르 주로 옮겨졌다고 전했습니다.

다둘라는 아프간 남부에서 수많은 탈레반 공격을 이끌었고 최근에 발생한 외국인들과 아프간인들 납치 사건에도 개입됐습니다.

다둘라는 지난 2001년 미국 주도의 연합군이 아프가니스탄에서 탈레반 정권을 몰아낸 이후 살해된 탈레반 최고위 지도자 가운데 한 명입니다.

NATO and Afghan officials say a top Taleban commander has been killed in fighting with Afghan and international troops in the nation's south.

In a statement, NATO officials said the death of Mullah Dadullah is a "serious blow" to the Taleban insurgency.

An Afghan intelligence official (Saeed Ansari) today (Sunday) said that Mullah Dadullah was killed Saturday in Helmand province, and his body was taken to neighboring Kandahar.

Authorities in Kandahar city reportedly showed the body to local media. The corpse was missing the lower part of one leg and had several bullet wounds. Reporters who have interviewed Dadullah say the body resembled the one-legged Taleban commander.

Dadullah has led many Taleban attacks in southern Afghanistan. He also has been involved in recent kidnappings of foreigners and Afghans.

Dadullah is one of the highest-ranking Taleban leaders to be killed since U.S.-led forces pushed the Taleban from power in Afghanistan in 2001.(미국의 소리 2007.5.14)
