	아소 일본 외상은 오늘 열린 참의원 외교방위위원회에서 부시 미국 정권이 NPT핵확산금지조약에 가맹하지 않은 인도와 핵기술제공등 협력하기로 합의한데 대해 우려를 나타냈습니다. 부시 미국 대통령은 이달 초 인도를 방문해 NPT에 가맹하지 않은 인도와 특례로 핵기술과 연료제공등 원자력분야에서 협력하기로 합의한 바 있습니다. 이에 대해 아소 외상은 참의원의 외교방위위원회에서 미국과의 합의를 계기로 인도가 이전보다 더욱 핵시설에 대한 국제적인 사찰을 받아들이는 것은 평가하지만, 국제적인 핵확산 금지를 추진하는 체제가 유명무실화 되지 않을까 우려되며, 북조선과 이란의 핵개발문제에 부정적인 영향을 미치지 않도록 하지 않으면 안된다고 말했습니다. 또, 라이스 미 국무장관에게 이러한 결정은 이중기준이라고 전했다고 밝혔습니다. On March 2, India agreed to open its civilian reactors to international inspections in exchange for the US supply of fuel and technology. India is a non-signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Taro Aso / Foreign Minister "The U.S.-India accord is welcome as India accepted international inspections. But I'm concerned it may undermine the NPT framework." Mr Aso said the Unites States should be careful of any negative impact the accord may have on the problems associated with the nuclear programs of North Korea and Iran. Mr Aso said he had told US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that the US accord with India will inevitably be seen as a reflection of US double-standard diplomacy. Mr Aso had talks with US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer in Sydney last week.
