푸틴, 서방 시리아 공습 규탄…"침략행위 논의 긴급안보리 소집"

블라디미르 푸틴 러시아 대통령이 미국·영국·프랑스의 시리아 공습을 강력히 규탄했다.

러시아 대통령실 크렘린궁은 14일 서방의 시리아 공격을 비난하고 유엔 안전보장이사회를 소집하는 내용의 푸틴 대통령 발언을 공개했다고 러시아 타스통신이 전했다.

푸틴 대통령은 "미국과 동맹은 안보리의 승인 없이 유엔 헌장, 일반규범과 원칙, 국제법에 모두 어기고, 대테러전 최전선에 있는 주권국가에 침략행위를 저질렀다"고 규정했다.

그는 "화학공격 의혹이 제기된 현장을 방문한 러이사군 전문가는 염소나 다른 화학물질의 흔적을 못 찾았고, 화학공격이 있었다고 증언하는 주민을 한 명도 못 봤다"면서 서방이 무력 사용 명분으로 제시한 화학공격 의혹이 사실이 아니라고 주장했다

푸틴 대통령은 화학무기금지기구(OPCW)가 이날 현장 조사를 시작할 예정임을 거론하면서 "서방 동맹은 OPCW의 조사 결과를 기다리지도 않고 군사작전을 감행했다"고 비난했다.

그는 이어 "러시아군이 대테러전을 돕고 있는 합법 정부 시리아를 겨냥한 서방의 공격을 강력한 어조로 규탄한다"면서 "미국과 동맹의 적대행위를 논의하는 안보리 긴급회의를 소집한다"고 말했다.

푸틴은 또 "미국이 시리아에서 인도주의 재난을 계속 악화시키고 있다"면서 "이번 상황은 국제관계 시스템 전반에 파괴적 결과를 초래할 것"이라고 경고했다.

Locals claim that the helicopter allegedly belongs to forces loyal to the Syrian government, while both Syria and Russia denied using chemical weapons and called the attack a fabrication by Jayesh al-Islam (the military ruler of Douma) in an attempt to hinder the Syrian Arab Army advancement, according to a report on the Syrian Arab News Agency, the Syrian Government's official news agency.
