올해 노벨평화상에 선정된 말랄라 유사프자이 씨의 출신국인 파키스탄에서는 시민들이 모여 수상을 축하하는 한편, 어린이들의 교육 받을 권리를 빼앗는 테러에 반대한다고 호소하며 시위행진했습니다.

올해 노벨평화상에 선정된 17세 소녀 말랄라 유사프자이 씨는 이슬람과격파의 총격을 받으면서도 어린이와 여성의 교육 받을 권리를 줄곧 호소해 왔습니다.

말랄라 씨가 태어난 파키스탄 북서부의 스와트 지구에서는 11일, 교육 보급활동을 벌이고 있는 시민단체 회원 등 약 300명이 모여 노벨평화상 수상을 축하하는 대형케이크를 함께 시식했습니다.

그 후 시민들은 중심부로 나와 '노벨평화상을 축하합니다' , '당신은 파키스탄의 자랑입니다'라고 적힌 말랄라 씨의 사진도 들어있는 현수막을 들고 행진했습니다.

그리고 "스와트지구와 파키스탄에 평화를", "테러는 단호히 거부한다"고 외치면서 학교를 계속 파괴하고 어린이들의 교육 받을 권리를 빼앗는 이슬람과격파의 테러에 반대한다고 호소했습니다.

 

                              Malala was one of seven people featured on the cover of Time's 100 most influential people edition of the magazine in April.
