‘알-카에다, 어린이 훈련 시킨다’ (E)

최근 이라크의 알-카에다 은신처에 대한 미군의 급습 작전에서 노획된 비데오테이프들은 알-카에다 전사들이 민간인을 납치하기 위해 어린이들을 훈련시키고 있음을 보여준다고, 미국과 이라크 관계자들이 밝혔습니다.

6일 이라크에서 기자들에게 공개된  이 비데오는, 열살 또래의 어린이들이 모의훈련중에 검은 마스크를 착용하고 민간인들을 납치해 그들의 머리에 총을 겨냥하는 현장을  보여주었습니다.

미군은 이 비데오의 일부를 지난해 12월 바그다드 북쪽 칸 바니 사드의 알-카에다 기지에 대한 급습작전에서 노획했다고 말했습니다.

한편 이라크 경찰은 바그다드 남쪽 디와니야에서 길가폭탄이 터져 4명이 숨지고 최소 6명이 다쳤다고 밝혔습니다.

U.S. and Iraqi officials say videotapes seized in a U.S. raid on suspected al-Qaida hideouts in Iraq show al-Qaida fighters training young children to kidnap civilians.

Videos aired for reporters today (Wednesday) in Iraq show a training operation that includes scenes of boys about 10 years old wearing black masks, abducting civilians and holding a gun to their heads in a mock exercise.

The U.S. military says it seized some of the videos in a raid in December on a suspected al-Qaida base in Khan Bani Saad, north of Baghdad.

In violence today, Iraqi police say four people were killed and at least six wounded in a roadside bomb blast in Diwaniyah, south of the capital.

Elsewhere, police say gunmen killed two policemen and wounded at least two others in the northern city of Mosul.
