국제원자력기구 사찰팀이 다음 달에 이란을 방문한다고 이란 관계자들이 밝혔습니다.

알리 아스가르 솔타니에 국제원자력기구 주재 이란 대사는 올리 하이노넨 원자력기구 사무차장이 이끄는 사찰팀이 다음 달 11일부터 13일까지 이란을 방문한다고 말했습니다.

솔타니에 대사는 이 사찰팀이 이란 핵시설을 사찰하는 것은 아니지만, 이란 핵계획에서 남은 문제에 답하는 이란의 실행안을 검토하게 될 것이라고 말했습니다.

현재 유엔 안전보장이사회 회원국들은 이란이 우라늄 농축활동 중단을 거부한 데 대해 추가제재하는 문제를 논의하고 있습니다.

Iranian officials say a team from the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency will visit Tehran in coming days to resolve outstanding issues over Iran's nuclear program.

Iranian ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency Ali Asghar Soltanieh says a team led by the agency's Deputy Director Olli Heinonen will be in Tehran from July 11th to July 13th.

Soltanieh says the team will not inspect Iranian nuclear facilities, but will instead examine a "work plan" to address issues concerning Iran's nuclear program.

Members of the U.N. Security Council are discussing additional sanctions against Iran for its refusal to suspend uranium enrichment, a process that can be used to build nuclear weapons.

The council has already imposed two rounds of limited sanctions on Iran. (미국의 소리 2007.6.30)
