IMF, 2007-2008년 경제성장 둔화 전망 (Eng)

국제통화기금, IMF는 올해와 내년에 세계경제가 견실한 성장을 하겠지만, 2006년에 비해 성장이 다소 둔화될 것이라고 전망했습니다.

IMF는 11일 발표한 세계경제전망 보고서에서 올해에 세계경제가 4.9%의 온건한 성장을 기록할 것이라고 밝히고, 이것은 강력한 성장을 보였던 지난해보다 약 0.5% 포인트 낮은 것이라고 말했습니다.

이 보고서는  미국 경제가 주택시장의 침체로 다소 둔화됐지만, 국제유가의 하락으로 어느 정도 회복됐다고 밝혔습니다.

새로 부상하는 시장과 개발도상국들은 작년보다는 다소 둔화되겠지만, 올해에도 강력한 경제성장을 계속할 것으로 전망되고 있습니다.

IMF는 또 중국과 인도가 계속 강력한 경제성장을 하겠지만, 성장속도는 다소 둔화될 것이라고 내다보았습니다.

The International Monetary Fund says global economic growth will remain "robust" this year and next, but expansion will be a little slower than in 2006.

A report issued today (Wednesday) in Washington says world economic growth will moderate to four-point-nine percent.

The IMF says that is about half a percentage point lower than 2006's "vigorous" growth rate.

The report says the U.S. economy slowed because of problems in the housing market, but recovered somewhat as oil prices declined.

Emerging markets and developing countries are expected to continue strong growth, although a bit slower than last year.

The IMF also says strong economic growth will continue in China and India, but at a slightly slower pace.

The report predicts that "commodity-rich" nations will continue to prosper.(미국의 소리 2007.4.11)
