중-일 총리, 에너지 환경 협정 조인 (Eng)

원자바오 중국 총리가 중국 지도자로서는 7년 만에 처음으로 오늘 11일 부터 3일 간 일본을 방문합니다. 

원자바오 중국총리와 아베 신조 일본 총리는 11일 회담에서 에너지와 환경문제에 대한 협력 협정에 조인했습니다.

아베 총리는 원 총리의 일본 방문은 양국의 상호 유익한 관계 구축의 커다란 첫 걸음이라고 말했습니다. 원 총리도 양국의 관계 개선이 이번 도꾜방문의 가장 큰 목적이라고 말했습니다.

양국은 또 원 총리의 일본 방문 몇 시간 전에 일본의 대 중국 쌀 수출을 재개하는 협의에 전격 조인했습니다. 중국은 지난 2003년 이래 쌀에서 벌레가 검출된다는 우려 때문에 일본으로부터 쌀 수입을 금지해 왔었습니다.

원 총리의 이번 일본 방문은 역사와 영토 문제로 악화된 양국의 관계 개선을 위한 노력으로 받아들여지고 있습니다.

Japanese and Chinese leaders have signed agreements to cooperate on energy and
environmental issues.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe signed the agreements today (Wednesday) in Tokyo.

At the start of their three-day talks today, Mr. Abe said Mr. Wen's trip was a big step toward building mutually beneficial relations. Mr. Wen said improving bilateral ties is the most important goal of his visit to Japan - the first by a Chinese leader in seven years.

Just hours before Mr. Wen's arrival, the two countries signed an agreement to resume Japanese rice exports to China. China banned rice imports from Japan in 2003 because of concerns that foreign insects were in the rice.

Mr. Wen's visit to Japan is seen as an effort by both countries to improve relations strained by disputes over historical and territorial issues. (미국의 소리 2007.4.11)
