북한 "2차 핵실험으로 핵무기 위력 강화"

북한이 25일 지하 핵실험을 "성과적으로" 진행했다고 북한의 조선중앙통신 등이 보도했다. 중앙통신은 "공화국의 자위적 핵억제력을 백방으로 강화하기 위한 조치의 일환으로 주체98(2009)년 5월 25일 또 한 차례의 지하 핵시험을 성과적으로 진행했다"며 "이번 핵시험은 폭발력과 조종기술에 있어서 새로운 높은 단계에서 안전하게 진행됐다"고 주장했다.

   이 통신은 "시험 결과 핵무기의 위력을 더욱 높이고 핵기술을 끊임없이 발전시켜 나갈 수 있는 과학기술적 문제들을 원만히 해결하게 됐다"며 "핵시험은 선군의 위력으로 나라와 민족의 자주권과 사회주의를 수호하며 조선반도와 주변지역의 평화와 안전을 보장하는 데 이바지하게 될 것"이라고 말했다.

 

통신은 "이번 핵시험의 성공은 강성대국의 대문을 열어제끼기 위한 새로운 혁명적 대고조의 불길을 세차게 지펴올리며 150일 전투에 한 사람같이 떨쳐나선 우리 군대와 인민을 크게 고무하고 있다"고 덧붙였다.

   앞서 이동관 청와대 대변인은 브리핑에서 "오늘 오전 9시 54분 함북 길주군 풍계리 인근에서 진도 4.5 안팎의 인공지진이 감지됐다"면서 "여러 정황으로 미뤄 핵실험 가능성이 있다고 보고 한미 정보당국이 분석하고 상황을 예의주시하고 있다"고 말했었다.

North Korea may have carried out a nuclear test.

South Korean government officials say an artificial tremor was detected in North Korea on Monday morning. They say they are trying to confirm whether it was in fact caused by a nuclear blast.

South Korea's Yonhap News Agency says the South Korean presidential office is holding a meeting of ministers in charge of security to gather information.

On October 9th, 2006, North Korea announced that it had successfully carried out its first nuclear test.

[北核実験】「核実験実施」と北朝鮮　北東部でＭ４・５の揺れを観測、韓国

【ソウル＝水沼啓子】朝鮮中央通信は２５日、北朝鮮が核実験を実施したと発表した。核実験は３年ぶり２回目。

　韓国のニュース専門テレビＹＴＮは２５日午前１１時半過ぎに緊急ニュースを流し、韓国気象庁が２５日午前９時５４分にマグニチュード（Ｍ）４以上の揺れを観測、北朝鮮が核実験を実施した可能性が高いと伝えた。北朝鮮が核実験を実施したかどうかをめぐり米韓両国政府が確認中という。

　青瓦台（大統領官邸）関係者がＹＴＮに語ったところによると、２５日午前９時５４分、北朝鮮が２００６年に核実験を行った北東部の咸鏡北道豊渓里でＭ４・５の揺れが観測されたという。

　一般的な爆発物だとＭ４以上の揺れは観測されないことから、地震か核実験の可能性が高いという。朝鮮半島ではＭ４以上の地震が発生することはこれまでないことから、核実験の可能性が高いといわれる。

한국 연합통신이 전한데 의하면 조선은 25일 10시 좌우에 핵실험을 했습니다.

검측장치에 따르면 조선은 제2차 핵실험을 했다는 것을 보여준다는 것을 한국정부 소식통이 암시했다고 한국 연합통신이 전했습니다. 이름을 밝히지 않은 이 관원에 따르면 한국은 조선에서 일어난 한차례의 인공지진을 검측했는데 지진등급은 리히터 규모 4.5였습니다. 이것은 조선이 핵실험을 했다는 것을 의미합니다.

 DPRK confirms conducting nuclear test

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) has confirmed that the country has successfully conducted a nuclear test, South Korea's news agency Yonhap reported Monday.

South Korea has detected an "artificial earthquake" in the DPRK which the latter confirmed as a nuclear test, Yonhap said.

The nation's weather agency said the earthquake was detected around local time 09:54 a.m. (0045 GMT) Monday near Gilju in the Hamkyung Province, of which the magnitude was estimated at 4.5.

The DPRK called it as a successful 2nd nuclear test, South Korea's Yonhap News Agency reported.

South Korea's presidential office also said in a press briefing that it was reported of the earthquake and is calling for an emergency security meeting among related ministries.

The presidential office is also calling for an emergency National Security Council (NSC) meeting to confirm whether there was a nuclear test in the DPRK.

The meeting will be hosted by South Korean president Lee Myung- bak later in the afternoon, due to the president's early schedule to meet Qatar's Crown Prince Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

朝中社報道稱，北韓5月25日成功進行了又一次地下核子試驗，旨在加強其自衛性核威懾力。

當天早些時候，南韓青瓦臺發言人李東官表示：“今天上午9時54分，觀測到鹹鏡北道吉州郡發生4.5級左右的人工地震。”他稱：“綜合各種情況，我們認為北韓可能進行了核子試驗，韓美情報當局在進行分析，並關注局勢。下午，將召開緊急國家安全保障會議。”

North Korea conducts nuclear test

 

 North Korea has staged a "successful" underground nuclear test, the state-run KCNA agency reports.

The agency says Monday's test was "aimed at strengthening its [North Korea's] self-defence nuclear deterrent in every way".

The news confirms earlier reports by South Korea's Yonhap news agency.

South Korea's president is reported to have convened an emergency security meeting and Japan is setting up a task force in the prime minister's office.

The KCNA report gave no details of the location of the test.

However, South Korean officials said a seismic tremor was detected in the north-eastern part of the communist state.

Both South Korea's and the US geological agency said the tremor indicated a nuclear explosion.

North Korea conducted its first nuclear test in October 2006.

North Korea confirms nuclear bomb test

SEOUL, South Korea (CNN) -- North Korea has conducted its second nuclear bomb test, the country's state news agency announced Monday.

The confirmation came after South Korea said it was investigating such a possibility after seismographs recorded a temblor near the north's earlier test site.

South Korean President Lee Myung-Bak has ordered an emergency meeting of his national security council in response.

The U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude 4.7 earthquake at 9:54 a.m. (8:54 p.m. ET Sunday) with an epicenter nearly identical to the site where North Korea first tested a nuclear weapon in October 2006.

The test comes a month after the isolated Stalinist state threatened to conduct one.
