북한, 지난 한달 6백명 홍역 감염 (Eng)

북한에서 전염병, 홍역이 작년 11월에 발생한 이래   지난  한 달 동안 홍역환자가 6백 명이 홍역에 감염됐다고 국제 구호기관들이 전하고 있습니다.

 11월 이후 북한의 홍역 감염자가 거의 3천 명에 달했으며 감염환자 1천백 명이 병원에서 치료받고 있다고 국제적십자연맹과 적신월사가 밝혔습니다. 그러나 홍역 사망자수는 4명인 것으로 알려졌습니다.

 국제적십자연맹은 홍역대책으로 지난 2월 중순 이래 여섯 살에서 열 두 살까지의 어린이 1천5백에게 단계 예방백신 접종을 실시했습니다. 국제 구호기관들은 2단계 예방백신 접종은 오는 4월 중순쯤 45세 이상 성인을 대상으로 실시될 예정입니다.

 An international aid organization says a measles outbreak in North Korea has infected another 600 people in the past month.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies says almost three-thousand-600 North Koreans have contracted measles since the outbreak began last November.

About 15-hundred people have been treated for the disease in hospitals. only four are known to have died.

The Red Cross says aid workers have immunized six million North Korean children (aged six months to 15 years) against measles since mid-February, in the first phase of a vaccination campaign.

It says the second phase scheduled for mid-April will vaccinate people up to the age of 45.

The U.N. children's agency, UNICEF, is leading the immunization program, with help from the Red Cross, the World Health Organization and North Korean officials.(미국의 소리 2007.3.24)
